
Fresh whole onions have been reported as causing a large Salmonella outbreak in 37 states, including Missouri.
The Center of Disease Control and Prevention has advised all persons to throw away any unlabeled store-bought onions.
Officials say do not eat, sell, or serve red, white or yellow onions imported from Mexico and distributed across the US by ProSource Inc. If you can’t tell if an onion is from ProSource Inc., avoid buying or eating it.
