The dead body found in an area river over the weekend has been identified.

According to the original press release, the Saline County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a deceased subject located in the Missouri River on Copper Avenue at approximately 10:18 a.m. on Sunday, October 17.

An updated release from Sheriff Cindi Mullins says the deceased person has been identified as 57-year-old Judith Young, of Malta Bend.

Mullins adds, “As this is an ongoing investigation, there is no other information available at this time.”
