Charged with a couple of felonies for allegedly pointing a handgun out of the driver’s-side window of a vehicle and discharging one round of ammunition across the westbound lanes of I-70 at the 56.2 mile marker on July 19, a Kansas City man is due in this week.
Court documents say Lanny Cunningham is charged with felonies for unlawful use of a weapon and three counts armed criminal action. Bond originally was set at $25,000 cash only. However, bond was amended to $25,000 cash or surety, and Cunningham posted surety bond on September 27.
Cunningham, who pleaded not guilty on July 21, is due for his preliminary hearing at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 20, at Lafayette County Circuit Court.
