Some employees at a Johnson County agency have been affected by COVID-19.

Officials at the Knob Noster Fire Department say there have been three confirmed positive COVID cases, and the department is waiting for more test results. The employees who have tested positive have symptoms (slight cough, fever, fatigue).

Of the three confirmed cases, two are quarantined at home with family, with one  admitted to a hospital.

The Knob Noster Fire Department has closed its doors to outside visitors until further notice to limit any exposure to the public.

Fire department officials say, “We will still do our job for the community, but as always (we are) keeping your safety in mind.”
