Two arrests were made after a traffic stop and the execution of a search warrant this week in Pettis County.

According to a release from the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 4:30 p.m. Thursday, October 21, the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office and the Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force served a search warrant at Budget Inn at 4710 South Lamine Avenue. This warrant was directed at one of the cabins located on the property behind the motel.

Surveillance was conducted throughout the day in wait for the target to appear. After a brief stop at the residence, the target left and a traffic stop was conducted by Deputy Moore and K9 Cav, Sheriff Brad Anders and a task force detective. At this time, simultaneously, deputies executed the warrant at the cabin.

Authorities say seized during warrant service was approximately two ounces of methamphetamine, paraphernalia and a weapon (a dismantled 1911 handgun).

Charges are being sought against the two subjects. However, due to KMMO policy, the names of the suspects will not be released until formal charges are filed.
