Fitzgibbon Hospital is hosting a walk-in COVID-19 Booster Vaccination Clinic in Saline County today.

According to a statement from the hospital, the clinic is being held until 4 p.m. at the Fitzgibbon Hospital Atrium.

At this time, booster doses are only available for those who received the Pfizer vaccine. No appointment is needed.

Booster vaccinations are available for persons who are immunocompromised or for front-line medical workers, first responders, teachers and individuals over the age of 65 year and persons. Booster shots will only be administered to persons at least six months after they received their second dose of the Pfizer vaccine.

Health officials say first and second dose shots are also scheduled to be available at today’s clinic – along with a third dose shot for those who qualify.
