As of Monday, October 25 there were a total of 7343 cases as compared to 7295 cases on October 18 and 7235 cases on October 11. This is an increase of 48 cases in the past week and 108 cases in the past 2 weeks. The DHSS website is reporting Pettis County has a positivity rate of 5.7 percent for the past seven days which is a decrease from 6.4 percent for the last week with PCR testing.

This week there were 457 PCR tests and 290 antigen tests for a total of 747. Last week there were 814 tests.

According to the Pettis County COVID-19 Task Force unofficial minutes, there are eight individuals hospitalized at Bothwell as compared to 11 last week. The age range is 45 though 83. There are three patients on a ventilator same as last week. The ventilator patients were reported not vaccinated.

All inpatients will be tested upon admission. The DHSS website now reports 103 deaths in Pettis County up from 102 last week.

Health officials say for the period October 18 through the 24th, there were 50 positive tests reported and 11 were fully vaccinated – for a break through rate of 22 percent, which leaves an unvaccinated rate of 78 percent. Most of the breakthrough cases received the Pfizer vaccine. The month of last vaccination for the highest number of cases was February with 6 followed April with 3, May 1, September 1. Three people were partially vaccinated.

The Pettis County Health Center has regular walk in clinics from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays, 8:30 a.m. to noon on Thursdays and from noon to 3 p.m. on Fridays. First doses are available as well as second doses and third/booster doses.
