A blood drive is scheduled to be held in Cooper County on Wednesday, October 27.

According to the Boonville R-1 School District, the Boonslick Technical Education Center student organization HOSA-Future Health Professionals is scheduled to host the drive from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Boonville High School gymnasium.

Organizers say giving blood not only helps those in need of blood, but also helps fund scholarships for local high school students.
