During her report at the Marshall School Board meeting on Tuesday, October 26, Superintendent Dr. Carol Maher expressed concern about how students have missed a lengthy time of in-seat learning over the last couple of years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dr. Maher said many students have struggled getting back into the routine.
On the agenda, Dr. Maher said the school board considered a revision of the district’s Safe Return to School Plan.
Dr. Maher said the district’s number of positive COVID cases and quarantines currently is down significantly from where it was.
As Dr. Maher said, the school board and administration will reevaluate the numbers on November 5 and make a decision whether or not to keep the mask mandate in place moving forward.
