An area law-enforcement agency is asking for help from the public in locating a man with an active warrant.

According to the Sedalia Police Department’s Crime Resolution Unit, 39-year-old Michael R. Fritchey is wanted for P&P violation and stealing a motor vehicle. Fritchey is described as white and 5-foot-8 and 195 pounds.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Fritchey is urged to contact the Sedalia Police Department’s Crime Resolution Unit; or, if outside of Sedalia, contact your local law-enforcement agency. You can remain anonymous.

Authorities say you should not take any police action yourself.
