Kenneth C. “Kenny” Phillips, age 74, of rural Marshall, MO, died Friday, October 22, 2021, at his home.

Military rites will be rendered at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 6, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. A celebration of life service will be held from 5 to 8 Saturday, November 6, at Bud’s Café in Marshall.

Born May 8, 1947, in Saline County, MO, he was the son of the late Charles E. Phillips and Wilma Ruth Harris Phillips. Kenny lived in Saline County his entire life and was a 1965 graduate of Marshall High School. Right after high school, he was drafted into the United States Army and served in Germany during the Vietnam War. His career was spent working as a welder at Quinn Concrete, which is now Coreslab, for nearly 40 years. On December 3, 1993, he married Carol Ann Bradshaw who preceded him in death on October 5, 2010. Kenny was a member of First Christian Church in Marshall.

Survivors include two sons, Chad Phillips (Jessica) of Marshall and Jeff Walsh (Christi) of Columbia; a stepdaughter, Stacey Hall of Sweet Springs; many grandchildren and step grandchildren, as well as their families; one brother, Tom Phillips of rural Marshall; one sister, Linda Cook (Terry) of Marshall; nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
