As of Monday, November 1, there are a total of 7,410 positive COVID-19 cases reported, as compared to 7,343 cases on October 25 and 7,295 cases on October 18.

According to unofficial minutes from the Pettis County COVID-19 Task Force meeting, this is an increase of 67 cases in the past week and 115 cases in the past two weeks.

The DHSS website is reporting Pettis County has a positivity rate of 8.8 percent for the past seven days – which is an increase from 5.7 percent for the last week with PCR testing. This week there were 501 PCR tests and 308 antigen tests for a total of 809. Last week there were 747 tests.

The groups with the highest number of new cases were 13 to 18-year-olds with eight and 40 to 44-year-olds with seven. There were 116 individuals birth to 18 with positive cases reported in the time period. Since July 1, 21.54 percent total cases are in individuals from infant to 18 years of age.

Health officials report vaccine breakthrough rates for the week of October 25 through the 31 is 12 out of 69 or 17.3 percent or 82.7 percent not vaccinated. There were three cases each in February, March, April and August. There were positive cases in two partially vaccinated individuals.

There are three individuals hospitalized at Bothwell as compared to eight last week. There are zero patients on a ventilator. However, all inpatients will be tested upon admission. As of Monday, November 1, the DHSS website reports 104 deaths in Pettis County, up from 103 last week.

Health officials say reducing the number of COVID-19 patients in the hospital is very important to have critical resources available for non-COVID cases.
