The Missouri Valley College men’s wrestling team spent Halloween night collecting canned goods in Marshall with the program’s Kans-4-Kids donation drive.

According to a news release, for the first time since Halloween in 2019, members of the Missouri Valley men’s wrestling program went around Marshall, to “trick-or-treat” for canned food donations.

Coach Mike Machholz says the team finished with over 2,000 total items donated.

All donations will go to help families in the Marshall community.

School officials say the Missouri Valley men’s wrestling team is scheduled to open its season this week. The team hosts its annual Purple & Orange dual at 7 p.m. Thursday, November 4, and will compete at the Kaufman-Brand Open, hosted by Maryville (Mo.), in St. Louis on Saturday.
