More than 7,400 total positive cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Pettis County since the beginning of the pandemic.

According to the update from the Pettis County Health Center on Wednesday, November 3, there have been 7,410 confirmed cases, including 61 active.

The death total is now 104, and three positive persons are hospitalized due to the virus.

Health officials say there were 69 positive COVID-19 tests October 25 through 31- including 12 breakthrough cases (nine Pfizer and three Moderna), making the breakthrough rate 17.3 percent. Breakthrough cases are persons who have tested positive for the virus after being fully vaccinated- their last shot being at least two weeks prior to testing positive. The overall positivity rate during the past week was 8.8 percent.
