Veterans’ Day is next week, and because it is a holiday, the sanitation department’s trash pickup schedule will be altered in the city of Sedalia.

City officials say the city will observe the Veterans’ Day holiday on Thursday, November 11. The city of Sedalia offices- including the Materials Management Site- will be closed in observance of the holiday.

Trash pickups for the week of November 8 will be:
— Tuesday, November 9, routes will be picked up on Monday, November 8;
— Wednesday, November 10, routes will be picked up on Tuesday;
— Thursday, November 11, routes will be picked up on Wednesday;
— There will be no pickups made on Thursday; and

Normal collection routes will take place on Friday, November 12.

City offices- including the Materials Management Site- will reopen for normal business hours after the Veterans’ Day holiday on Friday, November 12.
