An area state park will be closed for a few days.

According to officials at Knob Noster State Park, the park will be closed to all visitors beginning at 3 p.m. on Friday, November 5, and all day and night Saturday, November 6, and Sunday, November 7, due to a managed deer hunt.

Camping, hiking and all other activities will not be allowed.

Only registered hunters and staff or volunteers working the event will be allowed within the park.

Registered hunters can check in from 3 to 7 p.m. on Friday at the visitor center, and hunting will begin Saturday morning.
