Travelers may want to consider taking alternative routes, due to roadway resurfacing projects around the Sedalia area.

According to a news release, roadway resurfacing on West 3rd Street is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. through 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 6 –  between South Ohio and South Grand Avenue.  No work is planned for Sunday.

Resurfacing of West 3rd Street, from South Grand to South Park Avenue is scheduled to be completed between 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Monday, November 8.

Extended work is scheduled on Tuesday, November 9, at South Grand Avenue from West Broadway Boulevard to West 16th Street.

Sections of the roadways will be closed or limited to a single lane with heavy equipment and workers in the roadway as the surface is milled and then resurfaced. All work is weather and equipment dependent.

City officials say all vehicles parked on West 3rd Street and South Grand Avenue will need to be moved during construction hours, as vehicles will be towed at the owner’s expense.
