
A 62-year-old Waverly man needed to be flown from the scene of a rollover all-terrain vehicle crash in Lafayette County on Saturday, November 6.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as a northbound Polaris Ranger, driven by George Smith, skidded off the roadway, overturned and ejected Smith, who was not wearing a safety device.
Smith was flown by Life Flight Eagle helicopter to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence for treatment of serious injuries.
The crash happened at 8:30 p.m. on Brown School Road north of U.S. Highway 24.
