Many Americans celebrated Veterans’ Day on Thursday, however, some Veterans’ Day festivities will be continuing through the weekend.

Whiteman Air Force Base in Knob Noster has issued a reminder to area airmen to stay safe by using the Airmen Against Drunk Driving (AADD) resource.

Officials say AADD is a free and confidential program that provides an alternative to driving while impaired. Formed entirely of Airmen volunteers, the program is open to all Department of Defense ID cardholders. AADD services the local area around Whiteman Air Force Base, to include Knob Noster, Warrensburg, Sedalia and Holden.

DoD ID cardholders at Whiteman AFB needing a safe ride are urged to contact AADD at (660) 687-RIDE. The number is also available on the AF Connect App.
