An area city is reminding residents of their options for leaf and yard debris disposal this fall.

The City of Alma has issued a reminder to its residents that burning leaves in the street is prohibited. However, there are designated options in which individuals can burn leaves safely.

City officials say individuals can make burn piles on their own personal property or driveway. There is also a designated area where residents can bring their pile of leaves, located near the railroad tracks.
