Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, area residents turned out in big numbers to support a fundraiser for the Saline Animal League in 2020. Organizers are hoping history repeats itself with the turnout for the fourth annual “Spayghetti and No Balls” dinner later this week.
Cheyenne Friesz, one of the event’s organizers, says it is an important fundraiser for the Marshall Animal Shelter.
Just as last year, the fundraiser will be drive-thru only. Friesz says they feel this is the safest option for everybody.
Friesz thanks the Knights of Columbus for letting the organization use the building for the event.
In addition, Friesz says donations are welcome year-round, as well as volunteers to help out.
Friesz says the drive-thru “Spayghetti and No Balls” dinner is scheduled to run from 4:30 to 7 p.m. on Friday, November 19, at the Knights of Columbus Hall at the corner of West College Street and South English Avenue in Marshall.
