The active COVID-19 case count has risen to more than 40 in Chariton County.

According to the Chariton County Health Department, it was notified Monday, November 15, that there were cases of COVID-19 in Chariton County that had not been reported last week to the health department. Therefore, the number of active cases has increased significantly.    

There are 25 new positive cases of COVID-19 in Chariton County as of Monday, and four of the active cases were released from public health isolation.

This makes a total of 1,240 COVID-19 cases in Chariton County since the beginning of the pandemic, with 1,181 of them being released from public health isolation. There have been 18 COVID-19-related deaths in the county, leaving 41 active cases.
