Marcia North Morris, 82, of Marshall,  died Friday, November 19, at Big Bend Retreat in Slater.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 24, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall with William W. Harlow officiating.  Private inurnment will be at a later date in Springfield National Cemetery in Springfield, MO.  Memorials are suggested to First United Methodist Church in Marshall or Saline Animal League.  An online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com

Born May 13, 1939, in Kansas City, MO, she was the daughter of the late Sidney Bertrand North and Louise Eggenberger North.  Marcia graduated from high school in Bonner Springs, KS, was a graduate of Missouri Valley College and then earned her master’s degree and education specialist degree.  In 1957 she married Elmer Eilers and they were blessed with a daughter, Susan.  On October 4, 1991, Marcia married Lee A. Morris who preceded her in death on June 14, 2014.  Marcia’s career was spent in education with many of those years teaching in the Marshall Public School system.  She lived in Marshall for many years and was an active member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Susan Hoffman (Jimmy) of Marshall; two grandchildren, Seth and Lexi Hoffman; one sister, Carol Smith (Richard) of Colorado; as well as nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

Marcia was preceded in death by her parents and husbands; and one brother, Larry North.
