Glasgow High School Glee Club members traveled to Columbia recently and created a recording of a Christmas song which will be featured on KOMU 8 later this month and during the month of December.

According to unofficial minutes from the school board meeting on Wednesday, November 17, area residents can watch the performance at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, November 27; at noon on Friday, December 10; sometime during the morning on Thursday, December 23; at 10:30 p.m. on Friday, December 24; and throughout Christmas Day.

In other news, about 50 area veterans attended the Glasgow School District’s Veterans’ Day program on November 10; and the district hosted members of the Glasgow Fire and Police and Howard County Sheriff’s Departments for the district’s annual active-shooter training on November 1.

The board also approved filing dates for board positions during regular business hours from 8 a.m. on Tuesday, December 7, through 5 p.m. on Tuesday, December 28, 2021. This year, there will be two three-year seats available during the Municipal Election on Tuesday, April 5, 2022.
