On Monday, November 22, Lafayette County Health Department officials reported one additional COVID-19-related death, bringing its total to 75 since the beginning of the pandemic.

The active case count dropped by five since its last report last week, with a total of 54 positive cases. There are currently six individuals hospitalized due to the virus.

The county’s positivity rate as of November 22, was 16.32 percent, per the CDC COVID Data Tracker.

The health department is conducting vaccination clinics from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, and from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. the last Tuesday of each month. The health department administers the Pfizer vaccine, which is available for all persons at least 12 years of age.
