As Thanksgiving day quickly approaches, the City of Sedalia has issued a reminder to area residents that it is scheduled to host its annual Lighting and Fireworks at Hotel Bothwell celebration.

According to a press release, the celebration is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, November 25. The program will begin with holiday music and interviews – fireworks will begin at approximately 7 p.m.

City officials ask all vehicles to avoid parking along Ohio Avenue and 4th Street, from south of 3rd Street to 5th Street and Osage Avenue to Lamine Avenue, between the hours of 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

All individuals  parked along the listed streets may run the risk of getting potential firework debris on their vehicles.
