
Dorothy H. Glavin, 96, of Marshall, died Tuesday, November 23, at The Living Center in Marshall.
Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 27, at Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. There will be no visitation. Born December 21, 1924, in Saline County, MO, she was the daughter of the late Ed Lee Huffman and Elsie Elgin Huffman. On November 8, 1941, she married Jesse William Glavin who preceded her in death on February 17, 1976. She lived in Marshall her entire life where she was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Foster Grandparent Program. She retired from Odell Avenue Clinic and after retirement worked as a greeter at Wal-Mart.
Survivors include two children, Larry W. Glavin of rural Marshall and Mary Lynn Rudd (Barry) of Marshall; seven grandchildren: Eddie Howery (Diane), Keith Howery (Kathy), Wendy Schell (Shawn), Heather Allred (Corbin), Jessica Thompson, Ryan Rudd (Stefani) and Alex Rudd; 16 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by one daughter, Carol Howery and husband, John Howery; one grandson, Jeffery Brian Rudd; one granddaughter, Kristen Lea Howery; one granddaughter-in-law, Charity Howery; two great-grandchildren, Jonathan Robert Schell and Kayla Jessica Cowan; two sisters, Louise Cardwell and Ruth Lee Huffman; two sisters in infancy; and one nephew, Terry Cardwell.
