On August 24, a Sedalia man who was arrested and charged with felonies has pleaded guilty to some of the charges.

According to the Sedalia Police Department, it took a theft report in the 1100 block of South State Fair Boulevard. The victim reported that someone stole several items from his unlocked vehicle, including multiple credit and debit cards and cash.

The next day, Crime Resolution Unit officers were able to locate the suspect during a vehicle check.

According to court documents, Tanner J. Leary was charged with felonies for stealing and fraudulent use of a debit or credit device.

On November 15, Leary pleaded guilty to both charges. He was sentenced to seven years on the stealing and four years on fraudulent use of a debit or credit device in the Missouri Department of Corrections. However, the sentences were suspended, and Leary was placed on five years of supervised probation.
