The Marshall Philharmonic Orchestra and the Marshall Community Chorus invite the community to attend a joint Christmas Concert this weekend.

According to a press release, the concert is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. at Bueker Middle School at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, December 5, in the Harold L. Lickey Auditorium at Bueker Middle School.

Musical merriment and holiday favorites will be in abundance, as this is the first combined live performance for the ensembles since 2019.

The Marshall Philharmonic Orchestra’s conductor is Kevin Lines, who also serves as The Marshall Municipal Band director. The Marshall Community Chorus will be led by returning director Ron Sayer, accompanied by Derek Wittman.

The event is free and open to the public. Donations of nonperishable food items also will be collected for the Community Food Pantry in Marshall.

The public is encouraged to come early for best seating to this family-friendly holiday event for all ages. At the time of this press release, face masks currently are optional at all Marshall Public School facilities.
