Charged with a sex-related felony for allegedly inappropriately touching a juvenile female, a 60-year-old Odessa man is due in court.

A Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department’s report says a woman told authorities the girl reported to her that William W. Polen has been inappropriately touching her for a while. Polen denied the allegations during his interview with authorities.

Court documents say Polen is charged with a felony for sexual misconduct involving a child under 15 years of age. The court amended bond from no bond to $100,000 cash or surety on August 25, and Polen posted surety bond that day.

Polen pleaded not guilty on August 17. His next hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. Wednesday, December 1, at Lafayette County Circuit Court.
