Area authorities are searching for a Sedalia man who fled on foot after an attempted traffic stop.

According to statement from Pettis County Sheriff Brad Anders, authorities are looking for James Edward Chapman.

Authorities say Chapman fled on foot from an attempted traffic stop in the area on East Broadway Boulevard in Sedalia, near Hardee’s, at approximately 6 p.m. Thursday, December 2.

He was last seen heading in the southeast direction.

According to court documents Chapman is wanted for warrants for failure to appear – driving while revoked/suspended, a felony for stealing, and new charges of resisting/interfering with arrest for a felony.
