
The number of students in quarantine due to COVID-19 protocols is now north of 20 in the Lexington R-5 School District.
According to district officials, in mid-October, 51 students were under quarantine, but that number had dwindled to 16, as of November 19, and was zero as of November 24.
However, the quarantine number was 21 as of the last report on Friday, December 3.
The current quarantine percentages by building are: 4.1 at LMS; 1.62 at LBS; 1.28 at ECC; 0.96 at LHS; and zero at LLRTC and BOE.
There have been 64 total positive cases- up from 47 on October 15- in the district this school year. They break down as 22 at LBS; 17 at LMS; 16 at LHS; six at ECC; three at LLRTC; and zero at BOE.
District officials say, “if your student is considered a close contact, you will be notified by the district.”
