One of two area residents facing felony charges following the execution of a narcotics search warrant on April 12 is due in court this week.
Authorities say they seized methamphetamine and marijuana, along with numerous drug-related items- including three sets digital scales; several used syringes; and numerous glass smoking pipes; as well as a .22-caliber gun and ammo at a Lake Lafayette residence.
Court documents say William J. Neeley Jr., of Greenwood, is charged with felonies for drug trafficking or attempt in the first degree and unlawful possession of a firearm; and two drug-related misdemeanors. His bond remains $150,000 cash or surety.
Also, Sarah K. White, of Odessa, is charged with a felony for drug trafficking or attempt in the first degree and two drug-related misdemeanors. White posted $25,000 surety bond on May 14. However, her bond was revoked on June 9. The court then reset her bond at no bond.
Each defendant pleaded not guilty earlier this year.
Neeley’s next hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. Monday, December 6; and White’s next court appearance is set for 11 a.m. Monday, December 20, at Lafayette County Circuit Court.
