Demolition of the buildings on the campus formerly known as the Marshall Habilitation Center is nearing completion.

Marshall Ward 2 Councilman Kirk Arends gave an update on the work that started earlier this year during the council meeting on Monday, December 6.

Arends said the hope is for REMCO to be finished by Christmas.

In other news, it was noted the leaf and yard-waste pickup in the city will continue through the week of December 13-17, and then be halted until the spring.
