Firefighters in an area city battled a blaze at a commercial structure today.
According to Lexington Fire and Rescue, firefighters were toned out to the Remington facility at 7:47 a.m Wednesday, December 8.
A department spokesperson says a saw with materials surrounding it caused the fire to start inside. However, because saw dust gets filtered outside through a ventilation system, most of the damage was confined to outside the building. The blaze was controlled at 9:34 a.m.
No injuries were reported from the scene.
The Lexington Fire and Rescue were assisted by the Mayview Fire Protection District and the Wellington and Higginsville fire departments.
