Betty L. Toliver, age 92, of Slater, died Friday, December 10, 2021, at her home.

Graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 14, at Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Weiker Funeral Home in Slater.  

Memorials are suggested to the Slater Food Pantry, in care of the funeral home.

Born March 15, 1929 in Miami, she was the daughter of the late Norman W. and Jessie Moore Sullivan.  On March 15, 1947 in Marshall, she married Luther Toliver, and he preceded her in death on March 15, 2001.

She is survived by two daughters, Kathleen Krumsiek and her companion Todd Jenkins of Slater, and Janis Laster of Sedalia; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Pennock of Marshall; four grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a son, Luther Dewayne Toliver; two grandsons, Dale Laster and Travis Laster; a brother, Ralph Sullivan; and a sister, Shirley Aldredge.

Mrs. Toliver had been a member of the Slater Presbyterian Church until it’s closing and was a 1947 graduate of Miami High School.  She worked at Town & Country shoe factory in Marshall for eighteen years.  Mrs. Toliver returned to Slater in 2008 from Laurie, Missouri.
