
The Lexington Police Department responded to several reports of gun shots at approximately 7:30 p.m. Sunday, December 12.
According to a press release, Lexington Officers responded to the 1500 block of Franklin Avenue. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Joshua Clark and Sarah Hernandez.
Authorities say bullet casings from a handgun were located outside of the residence. Further investigation revealed Clark was allegedly under the influence of alcohol and was taken in to custody.
Officers then had a short stand off with Hernandez, and an officer suffered minor injuries as a result of taking Hernandez into custody. The weapon in question was recovered.
According to court documents, Clark has been charged for unlawful use of a weapon while intoxicated. He posted $500 bond on Tuesday, December 14. Clark’s bond appearance hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. Wednesday, January 5 at Lafayette County Circuit Court.
Hernandez has been charged with unlawful use of a weapon while intoxicated, and misdemeanors for resisting arrest and assault. Bond has been set at $15,000 cash or surety.
Hernandez was arraigned on Monday, December 13. Her next hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, December 22 at Lafayette County Circuit Court.
