From December 6-12, more than 18 percent of all positive cases of COVID-19 were breakthrough cases in Pettis County.

According to Pettis County Health Center officials, the vaccine breakthrough ratio was 33 out of 176 positive cases, which is 18.7 percent or 81.3 percent not vaccinated. Eighteen breakthrough cases were Pfizer, 12 were Moderna and three were J&J.

As of December 13, there was a total of 8,071 positive cases since the beginning of the pandemic.

Due to 7,763 previously positive cases released from public health isolation as recovered and 128 COVID-19-related deaths, there are 180 active cases, including 14 persons hospitalized.

The DHSS website is reporting Pettis County has a positivity rate of 14.5 percent for the past seven days, which is an increase from 8.3 percent for the last week with PCR testing.
