Kenneth E. Waisner, 78, of Marshall, MO, died Tuesday, December 14, at The Living Center in Marshall.

Private family memorial graveside services will be held in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to the Buddy Pack Program in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com

Born February 28, 1943, in Marshall, he was the son of the late Murray Waisner and Beulah Allene Yokeley Waisner. He was a 1961 graduate of Marshall High School and attended Missouri Valley College. He spent 32 years in the grocery business including: manager/assistant manager of MFA United Supermarket in Marshall from 1958 to 1971; manager/retail consultant for Fleming Foods from 1972 to 1982; vice-president of merchandising and procurement for The Lewis Bear Company from 1982 to 1988; and was director of purchasing for Sandestin Resorts, Inc. from 1992 to 1993. He originated the name and developed the strategic marketing plan for REAL VALUE brand products. After retiring from the grocery business, he returned to Marshall in 1993, and worked for The Kansas City Star as assistant district manager of circulation. He loved to bowl, was an avid reader and was of the Baptist by faith.

Survivors include one brother, Ron Waisner (Penny) of Lincoln, CA; one sister, Susan Heying of Marshall; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Kenny was preceded in death by one brother, Dale Waisner.
