Authorities and first responders in two area counties are reporting smoke in the air.

According to agencies in Johnson and Lafayette Counties, if you see smoke in those areas, it is likely that being blown to the area from a wildfire in Kansas.

Lexington Fire and Rescue Chief Brad Weber urges residents to not tie up emergency lines to report the smell unless you see an actual fire or smoke coming from a building.
