
The Marshall-Saline Development Corporation board members showed their appreciation and acknowledgement to former Board President Jene Crook, who retired from her volunteerism and involvement with the organization on Tuesday, December 14.
Crook was not present at MSDC’s December meeting, however, Executive Director Cydney Mayfield says the board will miss having Crook on the board and appreciate her 20 years of involvement with MSDC.
In other news, during MSDC’s meeting on Tuesday, the board adjourned to a Sine Die session, where they recognized the qualifying entities and acceptance of their representatives for 2022:
- Jeff Bergstrom to represent Marshall Municipal Utilities
- Monte Fenner to represent Saline County
- Kirk Ahrends to represent Marshall
- Matt Houston to represent Wood & Houston
- Bud Summers to represent Slater
- Tara Brewer to represent Sweet Springs
- Greg Swift to represent the Investor’s Group
The board elected two qualifying members to serve at large board positions. Angela Littrell, CEO of Fitzgibbon Hospital, and Sandy Hisler were elected.
The nominations of the board president, vice president and treasurer position was also conducted before the adjournment of the meeting. Sandy Hisle was nominated as the board president; Bud Summers was nominated to remain the Vice President, and Jeff Bergstrom was nominated to remain the treasurer for MSDC.
