The City of Norborne, along with seven other towns/cities are part of the Carroll County Solid Waste Agency.

Norborne city officials say the Carroll County Solid Waste Agency recently renewed its contract with RTS for a three-year service agreement for trash pickup. The monthly rate will increase from $9.50 to $13 per month for residential trash collection. This new rate will be seen on residents’ January 2022 water bill.

Each week, RTS will accept three large cans or five trash bags for pickup. If the amount exceeds the limit, there could be extra charges incurred.

RTS also will accept one bulk item per month at the first pickup of the month. No construction material will be accepted. Customers can call RTS for special requests to pick up items.
