An area school district’s chief administrator is going to retire.

According to a release from Slater School Board President Joey Gochenour, Slater Superintendent Debbie Gonzalez will retire effective June 30, 2022.

Gochenour says, “Debbie dedicated 20 years to the Slater School District. She has held the roles of teacher, coach, assistant principal and Superintendent during her career at Slater. Debbie has touched the lives of many students and faculty during her tenure at Slater. We would like to wish Debbie and her family well as she moves into the next chapter of her life.”
