
Karen Harliene Hammack, 78, of Marshall, died Saturday, December 18, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 22, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall with William W. Harlow officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Fitzgibbon-Mary Montgomery Hospice and an online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com
Born January 13, 1943, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late Boyd Hanes and Florence Dickson Hanes Meads. Karen lived in Marshall her entire life and was a 1961 graduate of Marshall High School. On February 24, 1968, she married Doug Hammack who survives of the home. Karen retired from Con-Agra in Marshall after working there for over 43 years.
In addition to her husband, Doug; she is survived by one son, Kenneth Cornine of Marshall; two grandchildren, Nathan Cornine and Shauna Banty, both of Marshall; five great grandchildren; three siblings: Sandy Miller of Marshall, Pam Green of Marshall and Charles Hanes of Sedalia; as well as many nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents; and one daughter, Melissa Kay Hammack.
