More than three dozen railroad cars careened off a track in Saline County on Sunday, December 19.

According to information provided, derailment of about 40 Union Pacific cars occurred about a half-mile west of Napton. All of the cars were carrying wheat.

Officials hope to have the mess cleaned up by 5 p.m. Monday, December 20.
