
Gerri Lynn Mabrey, 60, of rural Marshall, died Monday, December 20, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 24, at Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the funeral home to help the family with final expenses. Born January 22, 1961, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late Gerald Leon “Jerry” Ballew and Twyline Miller Ballew who survives of Marshall. On March 25, 2000, she married Roger D. Mabrey who survives of the home. Gerri Lynn lived in Saline County her entire life and worked in the cafeteria for Marshall Public Schools. She was a member of Miami Community Church and in earlier years attended Olivet Free Will Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, Roger; she is survived by two daughters, Tracy Webster (Russell) of Warsaw and Carrie Morrow of Marshall; two grandchildren, Jon Webster and Chasity “Chuck” Webster; two great grandchildren, Sadie and Alyssa Hackett; three siblings: Eddie Ballew of Slater, Tammy Brooks of Marshall and Margaret “Markie” Freeman of Marshall; as well as nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Gerri Lynn was preceded in death by her father; a sister in infancy, Rhonda Jean Ballew; and one grandson, Timothy Hackett.
