While the number of COVID-19-related deaths remains the same as it has been for the last nearly two weeks, the number of positive cases continues to climb in Chariton County.

According to Chariton County Health Center officials, 10 new positive cases were added on Thursday, December 23, raising the county’s total to 1,366 since the beginning of the pandemic.

With 1,330 of them being released from public health isolation as recovered and 20 COVID-19-related deaths, there currently are 16 active cases in the county.
