
Cherry Ann Merchant, age 68, of Marshall, MO, died Friday, December 24, 2021, at The Living Center in Marshall surrounded by loved ones.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 30, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow and Rev. Clark Armstrong officiating. Burial will follow at Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 29, at the funeral home.

Born May 3, 1953, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late Charles L. Hines and Kathryn Davis Hines who survives of Marshall. Cherry lived in Marshall her entire life where she was a 1971 graduate of Marshall High School and attended Missouri Valley College. On July 27, 1991, she married Larry Wayne Merchant who survives of the home. Cherry worked for UPS and then Marshall Public Schools as a para professional and a substitute teacher. She was a member of Marshall Church of the Nazarene.
In addition to her mother, Kathryn; and husband, Larry; she is survived by four children: Charles Dustin Burton of Marshall, Hadden William Allison of Columbia, Kelsie Elizabeth England (Justin) of Blue Springs and Josh Walter Merchant of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; three grandchildren: Addison Ann-Marie Kiesling, Cory James Blackwell and Carlie Kathleen Burton; one brother, Chuck Hines (Debbie) of Marshall; a step sister, Susan Brotherton (Andy) of Carrollton; as well as nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
