Current Johnson County Fire Protection Training and Safety Division Chief Ken Jennings has been appointed as Fire Chief of the Warrensburg Fire Department.

According to the JCFPD, with his new role with WFD, Jennings will be resigning his position with JCFPD effective February 13, 2022.

Chief Jennings joined JCFPD in April 1999 and served as a junior firefighter, firefighter, Training Division Lieutenant and Captain before assuming the role of Training and Safety Division Chief. He joins a long list of JCFPD firefighters who have advanced their careers with other agencies throughout the United States after entering the fire service with the District.
