An area school district will be welcoming back a familiar face as its new superintendent.

The Slater School Board has announced Dr. Terry Lorenz will begin the superintendent position for the 2022-23 school year. The decision follows the announcement of Superintendent Debbie Gonzalez’s retirement, effective June 30, 2022.

School officials say Dr. Lorenz brings a level of knowledge and experience to the position and is well respected in the Slater Community.
